For your late-night arrival at O'Hare and your trip to the Sheraton Lisle/Naperville area, here are a few safe and convenient transportation options. Since you're avoiding public transportation, I'll focus on private options:
- Taxi: Taxis are always available at O'Hare and are a straightforward option. The trip to Sheraton Lisle/Naperville will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare can range between $45 to $60. It's a flat-rate charge based on distance. You'll find taxis readily available at the designated taxi stands outside of Terminal 1, 2, and 3.
- Ride-Sharing (Uber/Lyft): Both Uber and Lyft operate at O'Hare, and you can easily book a ride through their apps. The price is generally similar to taxis, around $40-$55, but may vary depending on surge pricing. The pickup location is located in the O'Hare parking garage area. Be sure to check the app for the best available pricing and pick-up instructions once you arrive.
- Private Car Service: If you're looking for a more comfortable and personalized experience, you can arrange a private car service in advance. Services like ExecuCar, Go Airport Express, and others offer reliable and comfortable rides, though they tend to be more expensive. Prices for a private ride to Naperville are typically around $75-$100, and it can be especially convenient if you're traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer a more luxurious option. You can book these services ahead of time online or through their apps.
- Shuttle Services (Shared): While you're not looking for public transportation, shared airport shuttle services like Go Airport Express might still be worth considering. They offer shared rides at a lower cost compared to private options. However, since these shuttles make multiple stops, it could take longer than a direct taxi or ride-share. If you're okay with a little longer travel time, the cost for a shared shuttle is usually around $30 per person, and reservations can be made online or at O'Hare.
Tips:
- Given that your flight arrives late, Uber, Lyft, or a taxi are probably your most convenient and reliable options. Taxis are readily available at O'Hare, and you won't have to wait long.
- If you're concerned about pricing, compare the ride-share apps before booking to ensure you're getting the best rate available at the time of your arrival.
- If you're traveling during off-peak hours, a private car service might be an easy and comfortable choice, though it will come at a higher price.
