Heading to Maui Saturday the 24th!

Hi I am looking at the forecast and getting mixed answers. Just really wanting to know if it gets cool enough in the evenings for a jacket/sweatshirt. Is it humid? Also, any trail recommendations near Hyatt Regency?

Thanks!

Visiting Maui in late November, including the 24th, generally offers very pleasant weather. In the Kihei/Kaanapali/West Maui areas near the Hyatt Regency, daytime highs typically reach the mid-70s to low 80s °F (24–28°C). Evenings can cool down a bit, usually into the mid-60s °F (18–20°C), so bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt for the evening is a good idea, especially if you’re dining outdoors or taking evening strolls.

Humidity in West Maui is moderate. It’s not as humid as Hilo or East Maui, but you may feel a slight stickiness, particularly if you’re walking or hiking in the afternoon. Breezes along the coast help keep it comfortable.

For trails near the Hyatt Regency, there are several options for easy to moderate hikes with beautiful scenery:

  • Ka’anapali Beach Walk: A flat, scenic path along the beach, ideal for an easy stroll at any time of day.
  • Kapalua Coastal Trail: About a 1.5–2 mile loop with ocean views, lava rock formations, and small beaches. Accessible by car or a short drive from Hyatt Regency.
  • Honolua-Mokuleia Bay Trail: Slightly more challenging but provides stunning coastline views. Can be combined with a swim or snorkel stop.
  • Dragon’s Teeth Trail (between Ka’anapali and Kapalua): Short walk with interesting volcanic formations along the coast.

Even if you don’t want a long hike, these trails offer beautiful Maui scenery close to your hotel. Early morning or late afternoon walks are best for cooler temperatures and fewer crowds.

Overall, pack a light jacket or sweatshirt for cooler evenings, wear breathable clothing during the day, and enjoy the nearby coastal and short hiking trails for a mix of activity and relaxation.
