Time to Meet Nature, Art, and Myself
A few days ago, I returned from a dreamlike time in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. I had been very busy and exhausted lately, but Ubud was like a comma that gifted my life some breathing room.
📍 Accommodation
I stayed in a small jungle pool villa, waking up every morning to the sounds of birds and gentle breezes. Lying in bed and looking out at the green garden felt like my heart was melting. Above all, the staff were so kind that it felt like home.
🍚 Food
Ubud is a paradise for food lovers! From wellness cafes to local dishes, everything was satisfying. The roasted duck at Bebek Bengil, avocado toast at Clear Cafe, and organic meals at Sari Organik—all made me feel healed in body and mind.
🌿 Nature & Activities
I took a walk through the Tegallalang rice terraces and made eye contact with adorable monkeys at the Monkey Forest. The yoga class by the Ubud River was the highlight of the trip! Sweating while moving my body and ending the day with meditation was truly precious.
🛍️ Art and Shopping
The Ubud Art Market was filled with beautiful trinkets and paintings that kept catching my eye. Bringing home items like traditional Balinese crafts, handmade bags, and silk scarves keeps the travel memories alive.
✨ Overall
This trip made me realize what healing really is. It was a time to leave the busy city behind and let go of my worries. Though I’m back to daily life, Ubud remains a place I definitely want to visit again.
If you’re planning a trip to Bali, be sure to include Ubud. It’s more than just a travel destination—it’s a place where you can truly experience rest. 🌺
