Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, the only Gothic style temple in Thailand

Wat Niwet Thammaprawat Ratchaworawihan, located on an island in the middle of the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya Province, stands out for its Gothic architecture, reminiscent of a Christian church, a rare sight in Thai temples. Built during the reign of King Rama V, it served as a place for religious practice and summer residence. Inside, the principal Buddha image, "Phra Phutthanarumonthamophas," is enshrined in the temple and features exquisite stained glass. Access via a cable car across the river adds to the attraction.
