You can easily call a ride overseas with a Hong Kong phone!

It’s hard to believe how convenient it is to call a ride-hailing service now, and you don’t even need to download an app!
Today, I’ve put together a ride-calling guide for you, so whether you’re in Hong Kong, heading to Mainland China, or even going to Japan, you can call a ride anywhere~
P.S. No Mainland China phone number needed, just two apps—AlipayHK and WeChat 📱🌏

🚙 AlipayHK Ride-Hailing Service
AlipayHK now offers a reservation service for "Gaode Taxi" or "Didi Chuxing" ride-hailing. Just download and register AlipayHK, and you can use your Hong Kong phone number to access ride-hailing services on the platform. Payments will be converted to HKD for easy transactions~
Process: (see images 2-5)
1. Open AlipayHK and tap "Transport"
2. On the "Transport" page, select "Call a Ride"
3. Choose your starting point and destination according to your situation
4. After selecting the route, pick the car type(s) you need (you can select multiple car types based on your needs)
5. After completing your selection, tap "Call" to book
※ You can switch between "Gaode Taxi" or "Didi Chuxing" services on the "Transport" page
※ The flowchart shows the "Didi Chuxing" operation process, and the "Gaode Taxi" process is very similar

🚗 WeChat Uber Mini Program
Uber has officially launched a WeChat mini program, so you don’t need to download an extra app to use Uber services (currently only available in Hong Kong and Japan). It supports payment via WeChat Pay HK, super convenient!
Process: (see image 6)
1. Open WeChat and search for "Uber" in the search bar
2. Tap the "Uber" mini program to enter the service interface
3. The rest of the steps are basically the same as the Uber app
※ You need to log in first to use the service
※ Currently only available in Hong Kong and Japan, with plans to expand to nine countries and regions including the US, UK, France, and Australia in the coming months

Now you finally don’t have to download app after app just to call a ride!
