ULTIMATE CHINA 15 DAYS TRIP : PANDAS, ADRENALINE AND KARAOKE BARS

📅 Newbies BEWARE! Averaging at 20k steps / day. this Itinerary is only for true adventure (and exhaustion) seekers
Day1 ✈️ into Beijing
Days 2-5 : deep dive into Beijing historical heritage as well as its vibrant nightlife (here’s looking at you, Black Lakes karaoke bars 🎤👩🎤). A day trip to the Great Wall is a MUST. ❗️ PRO TIP : Head to the lesser known sections and avoid weekends
Day 6 : Datong. Oh - Datong! What a surprise. Combining the Hanging temple + Yungang grottoes, this has to be the BEST day trip from Beijing.❗️ PRO TIP : Though it can absolutely be done as a day trip, I strongly suggest to overnight in Datong to enjoy its authentic and super relaxed vibe
Day 7-9 : Xi’an - the ancient capital has so much more to offer than the terra-cotta army! Think about towers, pagodas and a bike tour of its city walls! 🍴Oh - and China’s best street food! 🏔While there, make sure to plan a day-trip to Huashan sacred mountain and experience THE WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS TRAIL. Not in for an adrenaline rush? The west cable car ride is well worth the trip 😉
Day 10-12 : Chengdu. 🐼 The Panda capital of the world - need I say more? If futuristic architecture, crazy shopping and the most adorable goofy giants are not enough, then come visit to experience Sichuan’s crazy spicy food and world-renowned hot-pots🌶 . Do not leave Chengdu without a half-day trip to Leshan’s Giant Buddha ❗️ PRO TIP : stop to Leshan en route to Guilin : there’s a free left luggage facility at Leshan train station - 3 hours is plenty of time during weekdays, consider at least 5 if visiting during the weekend and/or if you wish to take a sightseeing boat 🚤
Day 13-15 : Guilin and Yangshuo - where nature is a work of art. 🏞With its hippy vibe, this is the perfect ending to a frenetic trip. Enjoy some of China’s most scenic boutique hotels (and their swimming pools 🥵) and finish your trip on a high note with an injection of pure adrenaline: I’m talking about cruises, bamboo rafting, hiking, biking and rock climbing in China’s leading climbing destination 🧗♂️🚴♀️
🏨 Accommodation - Beijing and Chengdu do NOT offer the same value for money. ❗️ PRO TIP : for bigger cities, Focus more on location (Proximity to Metro stations and nightlife) than on ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ rating - you WILL get disappointed. Also, Smaller cities like Datong have the BEST stays for CHEAP 😉

📌 Tips : 1- ⏰ START YOUR DAY EARLY! Don’t be afraid to arrive 30 minutes BEFORE opening at sites like Chengdu Panda breeding centre or Xi’an terracotta army
2- 🚂 🚌 SKIP DIDI! High-speed trains, metro and even local buses are super reliable, so cheap and very easy to use. 🧐I will say, a driver is a must if you want to explore more remote destinations (Water great wall) or are short on time (Datong)
3- 📱DOWNLOAD ALL THE APPS! Everything is done via Wechat and Alipay. ❗️ PRO TIP : Be sure to set up the apps on your phone, including instant translation and an e-sim
