Take a tour of China's airport, which is said to be the largest in the world.

Beijing Daxing International Airport, located in Hebei Province, about 50 kilometers from Beijing, opened in September 2019. This airport was inspired by the phoenix, but actually looks like a star, lol. The shape is quite unique, though. The interior of the airport is designed to allow for natural light and even has plantings.

Pros: ✅ Check-in is very fast, with minimal lines due to the hundreds of automated check-in kiosks, which keeps things from getting crowded. There are many leading brands to choose from, and the interior is fully equipped with amenities and a wide selection of restaurants.

🚊 Getting there: There are several options, but we took the express train to the airport. To get into the city, take the Daxing Airport Express to Caoqiao Station and transfer to Line 10 or 19. 💰 Cost: Approximately 30 yuan. The advantage is that it's relatively faster than other options. 🕝 Operating Hours: 6:00 AM - 10:30 PM. For those looking to save money, there are also buses and the regular subway, though these can take a bit longer.

Not all airlines normally land here. Most may land at the old Beijing Capital International Airport. But we happened to fly China Eastern Airlines, so we had the opportunity to come here. Overall, we were impressed with the convenience, cleanliness, and beauty of this new airport.
