Walking through winter in summer, colors met in Biei

The day I arrived in Sapporo, the air was cooler than I thought.

Even though it was July, when the wind brushed my cheek,
I felt like I could smell winter somewhere.

On the way out of the city and toward Biei,
There were endless potato fields and flower fields outside the window.
A single cloud floated between the blue sky and green fields like a painting.

The scenery of Biei seemed like time had stopped.
The clear blue lake made me wonder, ‘Is this real?’

Even a single gust of wind became a shadow on the surface of the water sparkling in the sunlight.

When I stood on Millet Hill,
There was silence for a moment.
A moment when there were no people, no sound,
Just nature and me.

When I returned to Sapporo, I had a bowl of warm ramen.

At night, I finished the day with a cool draft beer at the Sapporo Beer Museum.

Even the sound of clinking glasses sounded like part of the trip.

It was a short trip, but I feel like I left a piece of my heart here.
