Shirogane Blue Pond and Shirahige Waterfall 🩵

Summer in Hokkaido ☀️ July 2025

We visited the Shirogane Blue Pond, one of the major highlights in Biei. Summer is the high season here, and we went in the late afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. Parking is available for 500¥ per visit. There are also food stalls and ice cream shops, though they were closed by the time we arrived.

After that, we drove to Shirahige Waterfall to see the crystal-clear blue water and the sky as the sun was setting. It was absolutely stunning. You can park at the Shirogane Onsen Public Parking Lot for free and then walk to the waterfall.
