Gamcheon Culture Village

#summervacay

What is Gamcheon Culture Village? A hillside neighborhood in Saha-gu, Busan, known for its steep, layered streets and vibrant, pastel-colored houses. Originally a poor settlement for working-class migrants and refugees in the 1920s–’50s, it was revived in 2009 through a public art initiative—earning nicknames like “Korea’s Santorini,” “Machu Picchu of Busan,” and “Lego Village” .

Art everywhere: Murals, sculptures, Little Prince & Fox statue, fish alleyways, painted “Harry Potter” steps, and whimsical installations .
