I hesitated to book due to weather forecasts, but turns out wind wasn’t a big deal—the trip went on as planned. Booking late meant taking a boat there and flying back, so we had to dive first before seeing the Great Barrier Reef. My perfect plan was totally ruined 😅

At 9 AM, we took a 2-hour boat ride to snorkel at the reef. Despite the 10°C-ish weather, I jumped in without hesitation. Once adjusted, the water felt fine.
After some fun, lunchtime arrived with a simple buffet on board. I barely touched the bland "white people food" before the helicopter arrived~

My bf and I were grouped with some foreigners, assigned to two 🚁 (one big, one small). Another group of 7-8 foreigners got one 🚁, while we lucked out with a private ride—so awesome! Considering his long legs, I let him sit upfront 😀. Honestly, the view from the back wasn’t as good—I missed full shots of whales 🐳 and Whitehaven Beach, so I had to steal his pics 🥲.

The Great Barrier Reef is absolutely breathtaking! Tiffany blue—literally Tiffany blue. When I saw Heart Reef, I screamed inside :) Speechlessly beautiful, a lifetime must-see~
