During my visit to Changzhou, I explored Tianning Temple and Hongmei Park, and honestly, going at night was the best decision. The atmosphere is peaceful, the lights are stunning, and it’s far less crowded than during the day. The park is opened 24hrs, but the temple is closed after 17:30 PM.
Tianning Temple, one of China’s tallest and most magnificent Buddhist temples, glows beautifully after sunset. Its towering pagoda, illuminated in warm golden tones, creates a truly magical sight against the night sky. You can feel the calm energy of this sacred place even more deeply when the crowds are gone.
Just next door, Hongmei Park offers serene walking paths, quiet ponds, and bridges that shimmer under the temple’s reflection. The combination of nature, lights, and tranquility makes it the perfect spot for an evening stroll or quiet reflection.
If you’re visiting Changzhou, save your visit to Tianning Temple and Hongmei Park for the evening it’s when the magic truly begins.
