Pokemon Store

I visited the Pokémon Store at New Chitose Airport today.
Pikachu plush toys lined the entrance, and my heart raced even before boarding the plane.
I hadn't expected yellow to shine so brightly in the gray atmosphere of the airport.

Once inside, the walls were lined with Pokémon. From Eevee to Snorlax to Pikachu—it felt like all my childhood friends were gathered together.
In the Hokkaido-exclusive goods corner, the snow-capped Pikachu plush was the most popular. Everyone was carrying one to the checkout counter.
On the last day of our trip,

I smiled at the keychain hanging from my child's bag while waiting for the plane.
Strangely, it was the little things like that that made the day brighter.
