🌿 A Warm and Quiet Space

Sorokdang is a takeout-focused baked goods shop located in Sinmae-dong. Though the shop is relatively small, the combination of lush greenery and warm lighting creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere. There are only two seats inside, but it's perfect for a brief, quiet stay. Personally, I prefer taking the treats home to enjoy, so I opted for takeout. :)

🍪 A Wide Variety of Baked Goods

At Sorokdang, every item is individually packaged, making them hygienic and ideal for gifting. The use of gourmet butter ensures a rich and nutty flavor in every bite. With a diverse selection including madeleines, cookies, and financiers, choosing just one can be quite a challenge!

Here’s what I tried👇
• Matcha Cookie (2,500 KRW)
The slightly bitter matcha flavor was impressive, and the texture was more crumbly and crispy than dense. It was so delicious that I couldn’t resist taking a bite before snapping a photo.
• Financiers (2,500 KRW each)
Lotus / Chounancier / Salted Maple / Chocolate-Dipped Financier—all were absolutely delightful. The Lotus was sweet, the Salted Maple was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, and the Chocolate-Dipped Financier combined sweet chocolate coating with buttery goodness. This place is truly a financier haven—you must try them!
• Chocolate-Dipped Madeleine (2,500 KRW)
Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with sweet chocolate chunks that pair perfectly with milk. A match made in heaven!

Sorokdang’s egg tarts are a blend of Hong Kong and Macau styles, known for their universally appealing taste. Unfortunately, when I visited at 5 PM, they were already sold out…😢 If you want to try the egg tarts, make sure to visit early!
