I say I'm going to ride horses and feel the wind in the grasslands every year, and this time I really did it ✅
I chose Inner Mongolia, the hottest of the 🔥hot destinations!
After reading this, your grassland dreams will no longer be out of reach. This guide has all the practical information, beautiful pictures, and tips to avoid the pitfalls!

🗺 [Recommended Itinerary | Grassland + Desert + City Highlights 6-Day Trip]
DAY1:
🚲 Arrive in Hohhot → Explore local delicacies in the city
🍜 Recommended dishes: Shaomai, lamb offal soup, naked oat noodles, and old yogurt
DAY2:
Hohhot → Resonant Sand Bay Desert (Ordos)
🐫 Stay in a desert hotel and enjoy sand sliding/camel riding/desert surfing
🌅 The sunset over the sand dunes is amazing! The kids were amazed to see the Milky Way at night!
DAY3:
Desert → Mausoleum of Genghis Khan → Naiman Banner Grassland

DAY4:

Roast whole lamb (perfect for gatherings with friends and family)
Hand-grabbed mutton (fragrant but not gamey, be sure to dip it in minced garlic and vinegar)

The summer UV rays are strong, so 🌞 be sure to use sunscreen
The temperature difference between day and night in the grasslands is large, so bring a windbreaker/thick coat
The desert is prone to dehydration, so bring plenty of water/moisturizing spray
If you are bringing children, we recommend choosing a customized tour/charter for more comfort and peace of mind
Don't forget to bring a trench coat, ethnic clothing, and a scarf for taking pictures! They are all great for taking photos!
