[Fukuoka] Stroll around Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

This famous Tenmangu Shrine enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, who is revered as the god of learning, culture, art, and protection from evil!

Many exam candidates and those related to them come to pray here.

The main shrine is currently under renovation, and instead, the divine spirit has been relocated to a temporary shrine for three years.

As I was walking around Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, I was surprised to come across a fairly large-looking amusement park called "Dazaifu Amusement Park"!
It opened in 1957, and is apparently located within the grounds of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.
