Ancient Fenghuang Town: A Relaxing Riverside Destination

One activity everyone should try at least once is taking a boat ride along the Tuojiang River to enjoy the serene atmosphere of the ancient town. It's incredibly relaxing, especially if you go around 4 PM. After the boat ride, you can explore the town and find delicious food to enjoy. Fenghuang is famous for its grilled mala skewers, and there are so many options to choose from that you'll be spoiled for choice. The food is truly mouthwatering! I recommend staying until evening because the vibe changes completely. The town becomes lively and crowded with tourists, as many Chinese people prefer to explore at night.

P.S. They also serve dishes made with salamanders and frogs, but I wasn’t brave enough to try them. 🥹
