Mount Fuji is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Japan's most popular travel destinations. Standing at 3,776 meters, this beautiful mountain offers stunning views throughout the year, attracting numerous tourists. The summer climbing season (July to September) sees many climbers aiming for the summit. The Yoshida Trail is popular among beginners, while those confident in their stamina can challenge the Subashiri or Fujinomiya Trails.
Even without climbing, there are many spots to enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. For example, from Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture or Lake Tanuki in Shizuoka Prefecture, you can see the reflection of Mount Fuji on the water's surface. Additionally, at Arakurayama Sengen Park, you can enjoy the beautiful contrast of a traditional five-story pagoda with Mount Fuji. In winter, you can see its mystical snow-covered appearance, and in spring, you can enjoy it with cherry blossoms.
Access is convenient, as it takes about two hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen or express bus. Besides climbing and sightseeing, the surrounding area offers various leisure facilities such as hot springs and Fuji-Q Highland, making it an attractive destination with diverse ways to enjoy your visit.
