3-Day Fuzhou Trip | My Recommendation: Don't Miss Pingtan Island!

#springitinerary
This trip covers Fuzhou, Pingtan Island, and Quanzhou (I’ll share more details about Quanzhou in the next post). Here’s the 3-day itinerary for Fuzhou:

Day 1: Arrival and Evening Exploration
Arrive at Pingtan Island via high-speed train in the evening.
Day 2: Pingtan Island Tour
Pingtan North Line Day Tour: We hired a private car to explore the northern part of the island.
Xianrenjing Scenic Area (仙人井):
Entry fee: 21 RMB per person
Xianrenjing: A natural sea-eroded vertical well, one of the most popular photo spots.
Tip: Be careful not to get too close to the slippery wet stones, as I saw someone getting splashed by a wave and getting completely soaked. Safety first! I didn’t spot any sea cockroaches, probably because it was winter.
Xianren Peak (仙人峰): You need to hike a short trail, but the view from the top is amazing! You can look down at the vast sea where the sky and water blend into one.
Xianren Valley (仙人谷): This spot requires quite a long walk after the peak, but because it was very windy, we decided to skip it.
Beautiful Coastal Road: This is one of the most stunning coastal roads in Pingtan. You can stop by the roadside to take photos with the sea and wind turbines. It’s a perfect spot for pictures.

Day 3: Pingtan South Line & Fuzhou City Half-Day Tour
Pingtan South Line & 68 Sea and Tan Nan Bay: We only visited these two attractions in the southern part of the island.
Fuzhou City Half-Day Tour: After touring Pingtan, we took the afternoon to explore Fuzhou's main attractions before heading to Quanzhou in the evening.
