Fukuoka Travel: A Cozy Izakaya

During my trip to Fukuoka, I visited Hakata and was looking for a dinner spot near Hakata Station. The hotel front desk recommended a place, so I decided to check it out. 🙋♀️

A hidden gem located underground✨

At first glance, it seemed like a small and cozy spot, but to my surprise, it was more spacious than expected and had a great atmosphere. 🥰

- Appetizer (deep-fried daikon radish and mozuku seaweed)
- Pear with tofu dressing
- Sweet potato with sesame cheese
- Their signature seafood salad
- Grilled fatty mackerel
- Awaji onion
- Grilled local chicken thigh

"Their signature seafood salad"
A salad topped with plenty of sashimi, scallops, and seaweed.
The sashimi was more generous than expected and absolutely fantastic! 🎶

"Grilled fatty mackerel"
Carefully grilled over charcoal, the fish was juicy, tender, and incredibly delicious. ♡

"Awaji onion"
Even without any seasoning, it was so sweet and melted in my mouth. I was truly impressed. This was one of my favorites! ♡

"Grilled local chicken thigh"
Since I was seated at the counter, I could watch it being grilled right in front of me!!
When it was served, I thought, "Wow, that's huge!" 😂
It was incredibly juicy with no dryness at all, and it was absolutely delicious. ♡

The portions were so generous that with just two people, it felt like we couldn't try many other dishes.

"Salmon and salmon roe clay pot rice"
They offered to make onigiri (rice balls) with the leftovers to take home, so even though we were quite full, we couldn't resist ordering it. 🤣
A classic combination that never disappoints!

"Pear with tofu dressing" and "Sweet potato with sesame cheese"
These two were the seasonal recommendations for this month. Both seemed like dishes that women would love, and they had an autumn vibe that got me excited. 🎶

I especially loved the unique sesame cheese cream—it was a delightful surprise! ♡

The service was excellent, and it was such a wonderful restaurant. 🎶
