Built in 1902 during the French colonial era as part of the main north-south railway line, Hanoi Train Street is located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. This unique spot sees trains passing through 3-4 times a day, and visitors can enjoy the view from charming cafes and restaurants situated on both sides of the tracks.
However, safety is crucial as trains do pass through the area. When a train approaches, make sure to stay behind the yellow safety line, keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters from the tracks, and avoid posing for photos on the railway. Additionally, refrain from using music or headphones, ensure children are supervised, and be ready to evacuate immediately if necessary.
It’s recommended to arrive 30-45 minutes early to secure a good spot or to settle in at a cafe or restaurant beforehand.
