Day 1:

St. Sophia Cathedral (1 hour)
π Highlights:
The largest Orthodox church in the Far East, with an exhibition of Harbin's history inside.
The church opens at 9 am, when there are fewer people and it's easier to take photos. The lights at night are even more dreamy.

Central Street (2 hours + lunch)
π Highlights: Food and classic Baroque architecture
Madieer popsicles, Huamei Western Restaurant (stewed beef + borscht, the view from the second floor is great), and the third floor of the Education Bookstore are must-see spots.

Songhua River Sightseeing Belt (1.5 hours)
π Itinerary: Take a photo with the Flood Control Monument β Stroll along the river in Stalin Park β Take the cross-river cable car (in winter, you can walk across the Songhua River)
The sunset here is super beautiful.

Must-try:
Sun Island Scenic Area (2 hours)
π Highlights: Russian Town, Deer Park (feed the sika deer for CNY 10/portion), and Clumsy Bear Park (a must for families)

Day 2: Old Harbin

Laodaowai Chinese Baroque (3 hours)
π Must-see spots:
1. Nan'erdao Street: Pure Hospital/Songguang Cinema Ruins
2. Beisandao Street: Laodingfeng's Sichuan-style mooncakes, Fanji Yong dumplings with smoked sauce
3. Intangible cultural heritage experience: Observe the making of century-old Chujia Guobaorou
4. Jingyu Street: Tianxingfu Flour Mill Site

Ice and Snow World Night Show (4 hours)
The lights turn on at 5 pm. It's cold to queue outside, so be sure to wear a warm baby.
Only available from December to February each year.
π Transportation tips:
1. Take Airport Bus Line 3 from Taiping Airport to Central Street (CNY 20/person)
2. Cross-river transportation: Cable car is CNY 50 one way, or you can walk across in winter.
