Victoria Peak is located on Hong Kong Island and is one of the highest peaks in Hong Kong, with an elevation of 552 meters.
From Victoria Peak, you can overlook Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the surrounding islands. On clear days, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Victoria Harbour, and at night, you can take in the spectacular million-dollar night view.
Although I am a local and have been here many times, I still take friends and family to Victoria Peak, this classic landmark, whenever they visit Hong Kong.
If you want to learn more about Hong Kong’s culture and history, you can visit the “Madame Tussauds Wax Museum” at The Peak Tower, which also displays wax figures of celebrities from around the world.
The traditional way to get to Victoria Peak is by taking the “Peak Tram.” The Peak Tram is one of Hong Kong’s oldest modes of transportation, slowly ascending the steep hillside. (Although it has been upgraded, it does not affect the view.)
🌟🌟🌟
The only minor complaint is that while waiting in line, many people rush forward to get seats by the window when boarding. You need to be extra careful to ensure your safety and avoid accidents.
If you love nature, you can also hike up to Victoria Peak. Stroll along Lugard Road and Harlech Road’s mountain trails to enjoy Hong Kong’s scenery from different perspectives.
If you don’t have time to stay until nightfall to see the night view at the peak, you can also admire the spectacular beauty of Victoria Harbour up close after descending.
🌟🌟🌟
It can be windy at the peak at night, or the indoor air conditioning might be cold, so bring a light warm jacket.
