Cathay Pacific The Deck reopening review! First visit to the four major lounges post-pandemic, the prime space~

After four years, the reopening of Cathay Pacific The Deck is finally here! As the most ideally located among CX’s four major lounges, it’s super convenient to get to any boarding gate from here~Stepping in for the first time since the pandemic, the space feels noticeably more spacious than before, and the sunken window-side design is simply amazing! The large floor-to-ceiling windows capture a full view of the airport runway, making watching planes take off while waiting incredibly soothing~

The restaurant’s newly improved biang biang noodles and spicy lamb burger are must-tries! The wide noodles are fully coated in sauce with a great chewy texture, the lamb burger is generously filled with meat, and the spicy flavor seeps into the bun~The only downside is the biang biang noodles lack the soul of chili oil, which would have made the aroma even better! Unfortunately, roast pork and char siu are still only served at The Pier, so if you want hot roast pork rice, you have to make a special trip to Gate 65, which is a bit frustrating for the lazy ones 😂

Overall, the environment feels fully upgraded, perfect whether you’re working alone or meeting friends for a small gathering~Take advantage of the reopening period when it’s still not crowded and come check in at this “geographical center of the airport” lounge! #CathayLoungeUnboxing #TheDeckReopeningCeremony
