Recommendations for experiencing Hong Kong Disneyland during a typhoon

Traveling to Hong Kong and encountering Typhoon "Butterfly🦋" 🌪️ might seem frustrating 😭, especially with the Hong Kong Observatory issuing a No. 3 signal. However, every cloud has a silver lining! The park remains operational, crowds are sparse, and wait times are short. During the No. 3 signal, the park opens indoor attractions while suspending outdoor ones. This article focuses on indoor attractions.

Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disney resort globally, covering just 1.26 square kilometers. We explored only half the park, including Main Street, U.S.A., Tomorrowland, Frozen World, and Fantasyland, and played until evening when the kids were exhausted 🤣. The other half—Toy Story Land, Mystic Point, Grizzly Gulch, Adventureland, and all outdoor attractions—will have to wait for another visit. Staying at the Disney hotel that night, we still managed to catch the "Momentous: Nighttime Spectacular" fireworks show!

🌟 Highlights: A 3D adventure set in Hong Kong. Marvel fans shouldn’t miss this.

🎢 Hyperspace Mountain
📍 Location: Tomorrowland
🌟 Highlights: Lasers, explosions, sharp turns, dives, and lots of screams. Not recommended for those prone to motion sickness or afraid of the dark 😱. We brought our kids along (height requirement: 102 cm).

📍 Location: Fantasyland
🌟 Highlights: A vibrant showcase of global cultures, perfect for family experiences. The colorful displays are mesmerizing.

🎥 Mickey and the Wondrous Book
📍 Location: Fantasyland, Disney Storybook Theater
🌟 Highlights: Featuring Mickey and Goofy, this indoor musical 🎼 is a nostalgic treat for adults and great for families.

🌟 Highlights: Olaf, Anna, Elsa, 🎶 Let It Go, and a touch of excitement. Step into the world of "Frozen"—a must for little princess fans. The small thrill is a surprise 🫢, but our kids loved it so much we rode it twice.

🌟 Highlights: A 3D experience featuring Donald Duck, special effects (water sprays 🌧️, scents, and breezes). Ideal for family viewing.

🎈 Where to find souvenirs?
Head to the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., right at the park entrance. You can browse for items you want and return to shop before leaving. Be warned—you might spend too much time here 😁 with so many Disney character-themed products to choose from!
