Spectrum of the Seas | Tips for a Fun-Free Cruise

🏠 About the room: 9110
This room is called the Fore/Aft Deluxe Family Ocean View Room. It's cheaper than the balcony room, but being located at the four corners of the ship, the room is incredibly special and spacious! It also has a beautiful round window, allowing you to enjoy a different view every day.

🍳 About the food - There are four free restaurants on board:
1. Main Dining Room: Only the Main Dining Room serves à la carte meals. Remember to change the Main Dining Room's dining time after you board. This time, we changed the dining time to 7:45 PM, which is perfect for jet lag, so it's 6:45 PM. Nice!
2. Sail Buffet Restaurant: This restaurant offers a variety of dining options. We usually go there for brunch. We love the white congee and soft-boiled eggs. Even the simplest combination facing the ocean is incredibly blissful.
3. Sorrento Restaurant: Mainly serves pizza 🍕. It's open late, perfect for late-night dining, but I personally find it a bit greasy.
4. 270 Degree Observation Deck: The selection may seem limited, but the salmon is fresh and unlimited.
💃🏻 On our last day, we had dinner in the main dining room! It was the best meal of the day, and there were also singing and dancing performances by the crew. The atmosphere was fantastic.

🚢 About Recreation Activities
🧗♀️ Sea Climbing: My first time climbing outdoors at sea, it was super exciting! Remember to wear socks!
🏊 Sunbathing & Swimming: There are several pools on deck. Buoyancy vests and towels are provided on board, so just bring your own swimsuit and cap. The two outdoor pools were packed, making swimming impossible. I recommend soaking in the sunbathing area.
🚗 Bumper Cars: Enjoy anytime during opening hours.
🏄 Surfing & Archery

💃🏻 About Performances and Activities:
Welcome Dance on Embarkation Day: The welcome dance on the first day of the cruise was a blast!

Silk Road: I originally thought reservations and fees were required to see it, so I couldn't get a spot on the first day. However, most seats are free and are first-come, first-served. The stage design and visuals are fantastic, highly recommended.
Open Karaoke: Located just outside the main restaurant on the 4th floor, you can reserve a spot in advance and sing after dinner.
Virtual Fireworks Show at Sea: On the last night, everyone got active, with a performance. We were all dancing and dancing in our seats on the second floor, but we couldn't resist running down to the open space below to have a wild party.

The biggest takeaway from this trip was that when you're with friends, you don't have to experience every activity to be complete. We danced, drank, smoked, played games, had tarot readings, looked at the ocean, and even just lay there, and we felt truly blessed. Of course, there will be regrets, but regrets are part of life, and we'll have many next times to recount those regrets.
