Incheon Yeongjongdo's Must-Visit Restaurant - A 100-Year-Old Spot for Naengmyeon and Galbitang <Owol Hamheung>

Whenever I crave a refreshing bowl of naengmyeon in Yeongjongdo, I always head straight to this place. Located right next to King Mart in Sky City, Owol Hamheung exudes a refined and upscale vibe just from its name.

When I first visited, I thought, "Is there really a naengmyeon restaurant in this alley?" But after one bite, I was completely hooked.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a clean and tidy atmosphere, neatly arranged tables, and even a self-service bar with broth kettles—such thoughtful touches! They even have a modern tablet ordering system at the tables, which is very trendy. The attention to detail makes you feel like you're being served a proper meal, not just dining at a regular restaurant.

Since it was summer, we ordered Hamheung Naengmyeon, Bibim Naengmyeon, and Half-and-Half Naengmyeon. And wow... from the first bite, I was amazed by the chewy texture of the noodles! The thin, transparent potato starch noodles were delightfully elastic and flavorful, while the broth was rich and clean—so good you’d want to drink it straight. The Bibim Naengmyeon had a perfectly balanced spicy and sweet flavor, making it a satisfying choice for fans of mixed naengmyeon.

Interestingly, their naengmyeon menu changes with the seasons. From May to August, they serve Hamheung Naengmyeon, and from September to April, they offer Buckwheat Naengmyeon. Isn’t it wonderful that they use the freshest seasonal ingredients? In an era where franchise naengmyeon restaurants are everywhere, finding a place that serves authentic naengmyeon like this feels truly special.

The restaurant also has ample parking space, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your car. It’s perfect for family outings, dates, or even a quiet solo visit.
