Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind

Visiting Hawa Mahal was one of the highlights of my Jaipur trip! The façade itself is breathtaking—those hundreds of tiny windows look like something straight out of a fairytale. I went early in the morning to avoid crowds, and the soft golden light made the pink sandstone glow beautifully.

Inside, the narrow corridors and lattice windows gave me a glimpse of how the royal ladies once watched life on the streets below without being seen. It’s like stepping back in time. The view from the top is amazing—you can see the City Palace on one side and busy Jaipur streets on the other.

Tip: Go in the morning or late evening, as afternoons can get very hot. Also, don’t skip the little museum section inside—it has some interesting artifacts and costumes.

Overall, Hawa Mahal is a must-visit. You can’t say you’ve seen Jaipur until you’ve stood in front of this pink wonder.
