Kaifeng travel

Kaifeng is located in central Henan Province and is one of China’s seven ancient capitals, known in history as Bianjing, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty. Today, it’s a city that blends rich history, classical gardens, and local food culture—perfect for a short 2–3 day getaway.

I visited in spring this year and had an amazing experience in Qingming Shanghe Yuan for the whole day trip.

A theme park recreating the Northern Song lifestyle

The live performances of Song Dynasty life are wonderful and five-star graded.

In daytime, there were traditional streets, magic show, traditional dance, water puppet show. In the evening, there was large-scale show “Dream of the Eastern Capital” which is stunning.
