🚄 Daytrip Vibes: From Taipei to Kaohsiung, Then Across the Sea to Qijin 🌊🌴

Who says you need a long vacation to see it all?

I hopped on the Taiwan High Speed Rail from Taipei at sunrise, and by noon I was biking along Qijin Island’s rainbow coastal road, chasing sea breeze and lighthouses.

And yes — I did squeeze in history, art, AND street food in one day. Here’s how:

🗺️ My 1-Day Itinerary:
07:11 — THSR from Taipei to Zuoying (1hr 40min)
08:55 — Ferry to Qijin Island 🌈
  Qijin Lighthouse, and snapped those iconic colorful rooftops
11:30 — Explored the Kaohsiung Harbor Museum / Takao Railway Museum 🚂
13:00 — Art stop at Pier-2 Art Center 🎨
15:30 — Tainan-bound by train (~45 mins)
17:00 — Wandering Kaohsiung night markets — think Danzai noodles, milkfish soup, and brown sugar bubble tea 🌕
20:00 — High Speed Rail back to Taipei 🚄

🌟 Why it worked:
✔️ Efficient transfers via THSR + ferry + train
✔️ Qijin was a mini island escape
✔️ Tainan gave me that historic-night-market-energy
✔️ It felt like a full vacation in just 1 day
