The National Gallery of Malaysia is a well-known art gallery in Southeast Asia, established in 1958 under the initiative of Malaysia’s first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. The museum houses more than 25,000 works of art, covering historical works, ethnic art, sculpture, textiles and masterpieces by internationally renowned artists.
The architecture blends Malay traditional and modern design with five exhibition halls showcasing the work of local and international artists.
Open free of charge for quiet art appreciation.
There are 3 floors, each floor has 1-2 sections on both sides, some exhibits prohibited photography, oil paintings, display art works, the overall experience is rich, is a good place to understand Malaysian art and culture, the whole museum walk about 1 and a half hours.
