Built in 1888, centre for Malaysian culture, art, & craft.

Central Market (Pasar Seni) has been a total KL icon since 1888! You’ll spot the modern Art Deco exterior right in the city centre at Jalan Hang Kasturi, 50050 Kuala Lumpur—rain or shine, it’s always a vibe ☁️🏛️.

Doors open at 10am, so roll in early if you want first dibs on all the cool stuff! It started out as a wet market way back when, but now it’s basically *the* hotspot for Malaysian culture, art, and crafts. The air-con inside is seriously cold 🥶 hahaha—perfect cool down on a humid day!

There’s so much to browse: from unique handicrafts, Insta-worthy souvenirs, local art, and traditional outfits. You might just score a hidden gem or snag some sweet bargains if you hunt around! Shopping here is kinda a must, even if prices are a bit on the higher side (totally normal for touristy spots, TBH).

Also, if you’re hit with hunger pangs, the food court inside has everything from Malaysian favorites to snacks for your quick munchies. It’s a little pricey but hey, you’re paying for the experience and convenience!

Whether you’re into architecture, culture, or just some retail therapy with foodie stops, Central Market is a must-visit. Check for art events and workshops on Trip.com before you go if you wanna catch something extra cool!
