Visited Kifune Shrine today and it’s such a peaceful escape from Kyoto city life! 🌿💦
💡 Fun fact: this shrine is dedicated to the god of water, so people come here to pray for luck in love, work, and safe travels.
You can write your wishes on cute wooden plaques (ema) and hang them up.
The red torii gates along the river are super photogenic 📸 Yet my camera has failed to capture the beauty of it.
