Autumn at the Longji Terraces is totally worth rushing for! đž Layer upon layer of rice paddies turn golden, and when the wind blows, the air is filled with the fragrance of rice ears. This autumn-only scenery is a must-seeâdonât miss it, or youâll have to wait a whole year!
â ď¸ Key Warm Tips (Avoid Pitfalls & Save Time)
- Harvest Countdown: Hurry if you want to capture the golden rice waves! â° Pingâan Village and Guzhuang Village will be harvested on October 26, and Jinkeng Village on November 2. Miss it and youâll have to wait until next yearâsuch a pity!
- Donât Lose Your Tickets: Tickets are checked at the entrances of all three villages, so keep them safe. The scenic area is large and the three villages are far apart, so itâs recommended to plan a trip of 2 days or more for a more relaxed visitâno rushing, just comfort!
- Transportation Tips: The scenic area shuttle bus from the ticket office only goes to the village gates. To get to the viewing platforms, you need to buy a separate sightseeing bus ticket (round trip 50 RMB) or cable car ticket (round trip 100 RMB). Budget accordingly. If youâre physically fit, hiking the whole way can save moneyâsuper cost-effective!
- Accommodation Recommendation: We stayed at the âShan Zhong Yi Qian Nianâ guesthouse in Jinkeng Village, which was amazing! đĄ No need to go out; you can overlook the entire terrace from your room. Open the window to a golden sea of riceâso healing! Waking up to this view is pure happiness!
- Weather Preparation: The weather has been changeable recently, so be sure to bring a jacket and umbrella! âď¸ The temperature difference between morning and evening is big, so itâs easy to catch a cold. On rainy days, you can capture the misty, fairy-tale terracesâan unexpected surprise!
