20,000 Steps in Macau! 9 Free Niche Spots for Photography!
Macau is so photogenic!
20,000 steps every day, from old streets and alleys to Little Europe,
from artistic romance to vicissitudes and prosperity.
Here's a super comprehensive collection of free photo spots, remember to save it!
-
🇲🇴[Macau Peninsula]
◼️ Calçada da Guia
A classic National Geographic photography spot, where you can capture the dazzling Grand Lisboa Casino in the night and the vibrant old streets in the distance. The spot is right by the road, so be sure to pay attention to safety when taking photos! It is recommended to go between 9-10 pm, when there won't be too much traffic.
-
◼️ Ruins of St. Paul's
The Travessa da Paixão (Love Lane) to the left of the Ruins of St. Paul's and under the banyan tree halfway up Monte Fortress are excellent spots to easily avoid the crowds.
-
◼️ Calçada da Igreja de S. Lázaro
The colorful Portuguese buildings are incredibly dreamy.
-
◼️ Rua da Felicidade
The red buildings and shutters have a Hong Kong-style retro street feel, and the rainy nights are also uniquely charming.
-
🇲🇴[Taipa Island]
◼️ The Taipa Houses–Museum
Mint green Portuguese-style buildings, very refreshing.
-
◼️ Rua do Cunha Portuguese Egg Tart Garden
Rua do Cunha is a food paradise with lots of delicious treats. I stumbled upon this rainbow street near the Portuguese Egg Tart Garden, which is super photogenic.
-
◼️ Parisian Macao Park
The park opposite The Parisian Macao is the best spot for photos with the Eiffel Tower. A telephoto lens is recommended to bring you closer to the tower.
-
🇲🇴[Coloane Island]
◼️ Colorful Houses
A fairytale-like fishing village with many brightly colored houses.
-
◼️ Rua Cinco de Outubro
Rua Cinco de Outubro is a filming location for literary films.
