Madrid mini trip recap ✨
️⃣ A must-try: churros from Chocolatería San Ginés – crispy, golden, and perfect with that thick hot chocolate! Couldn’t finish the chocolate? No worries – grab some milk from the supermarket, mix it in, and boom: Spanish-style chocolate milk!
️⃣ One regret… we missed Sobrino de Botín, the oldest restaurant in the world (since 1725!). Was hyped to try the roast suckling pig and garlic soup… guess it’s a mission for next time!
️⃣ Checked out Puerta del Sol – the heart of Madrid! So cool to stand in the iconic square where everything happens.
️⃣ Ate our way through San Miguel Market – the place has so much more than just tapas and oysters! We saw a variety of other local dishes we were dying to try, but sadly, we were already way too full… Looks like we’ll have to save the rest for our next visit!
️⃣ Had the chance to enjoy a beautiful performance at the Royal Palace of Madrid – it was magical to experience such incredible music in such a historic setting.
️⃣ Ended the night with an unforgettable Flamenco dance performance. The energy, the passion, the moves – absolutely mesmerizing!
️⃣ Went shopping at Lefties, a local Spanish fashion brand under the same group as Zara – trendy styles at wallet-friendly prices. Totally worth a browse (and a haul)!
️⃣ Started the day right with brunch at Zenith Brunch & Cocktail – their Eggs Benedict and pancakes were on point! Totally recommend it if you’re looking for a good breakfast spot.
️⃣ Stayed at TOC Hostel Madrid – super convenient location, right next to the metro. Only downside? The hot water had commitment issues… cold shower surprise halfway through, haha.
