Matsuyama, the city of miso

Matsuyama, the City of Mikan (Mikan) Travelogue 🍊✨

Matsuyama is a representative city in Shikoku, Japan, and is famous for its "Mikan" (mandarin oranges). As soon as I arrived at the airport, the fragrant scent of mandarin oranges filled me with the image of "Mikkan City."

Mikkan-shaped sculptures and souvenirs abound throughout the city, and the sight of Mikkan characters on trains and buses made my mood feel refreshed throughout my trip. Walking along Dogo Onsen Street, I came across small shops selling mandarin orange juice and jelly. A glass of freshly squeezed juice was truly delicious. 🍹

Mandarin orange-themed events were held throughout the city, including permanent ones at department stores. Bags of mandarin orange snacks were available for me to enjoy during my breaks. Wherever I went, I was greeted by the city's vibrant, tangerine-colored sunshine.

In the evening, I enjoyed the warm atmosphere of a hot spring town, along with the tangerine-scented bath salts. It was a truly relaxing trip, both physically and mentally. Matsuyama isn't just a tourist destination; the entire city feels like a "mandarin orchard."

👉 If you love mandarin oranges, there's no better destination than this one.
