The tour guide Chen Guofu and the driver were already waiting at the airport, saving us the hassle and anxiety of navigating an unfamiliar city. Following Chen’s recommendation, we visited Qingxiu Mountain, where the lush greenery embodies the charm of the Green City, setting a pleasant tone for the journey.
The itinerary was well-paced, with each stop showcasing its own highlights: the picturesque landscape of Mingshi Pastoral, the majestic Detian Transnational Waterfall, and the serene secret realm of Tongling Grand Canyon. Chen’s explanations added even more flavor. Handsome and elegant, he is known as the "Walking Guangxi Encyclopedia," knowledgeable and expressive. Whether explaining the formation of natural wonders or the origins of local culture, he narrated everything vividly, giving the scenery along the way greater depth.
There were many elderly travelers in the group, and Chen was always meticulous, slowing down, patiently waiting, and proactively offering help, considering every detail with responsibility and warmth. The sunrise at the colorful beach of Weizhou Island was dazzling, the blue sea and silver sand of Beihai Silver Beach were healing, and the lively atmosphere of the old street was unforgettable. Every beautiful spot felt even more precious thanks to his thoughtful arrangements.
On the last day’s free activities, Chen kindly shared tips for shopping and dining. At the end of the trip, he even personally escorted us to the airport, providing attentive and heartfelt service throughout. This journey across Nanning, Chongzuo, Weizhou Island, and Beihai was made even more perfect by tour guide Chen Guofu’s professionalism and enthusiasm. If I return to Guangxi, I will definitely choose to follow his footsteps again!
