Most travelers know Narita as the home of Tokyo’s international airport, but this city is more than just a stopover — it’s a blend of tradition, culture, and serenity. Walking its historic streets feels like stepping back in time, while peaceful temples and gardens invite you to slow down.
✨ Highlights from my trip:
• ⛩ Naritasan Shinshoji Temple — a grand Buddhist temple with stunning pagodas, serene gardens, and centuries of history.
• 🏯 Naritasan Park — tranquil ponds, stone lanterns, and seasonal blossoms that make for a perfect escape.
• 🍜 Omotesando Street — a lively road leading to the temple, lined with traditional shops, crafts, and famous unagi (grilled eel).
• 🛍️ AEON Mall Narita — a modern contrast, perfect for last-minute shopping or souvenirs before flying out.
📍 Best time to visit: Spring (March–May) for cherry blossoms, or autumn (October–November) when the gardens glow in fiery colors.
💫 Narita is more than just an airport city — it’s a place where you can experience authentic Japanese culture in just a day or two.
