Namba Yasaka Shrine

This shrine is one of the most powerful in Osaka. With its large lion head and wide, fierce-looking mouth, it's a popular place to worship and pray for safety, as it's believed that the lion's wide-open mouth can devour evil spirits and bring good fortune.

The shrine isn't very large, but it's always packed with visitors. It was quite hot when we visited at noon, but the trees provided shade. It's now a popular photo spot in Osaka.

Opening Hours: Daily from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Access: Approximately an 8-minute walk from Namba Station
