📍 Sumiyoshi Taisha - Osaka, Japan
Sumiyoshi Taisha is one of Japan's oldest and most important Shinto shrines, with a history spanning over 1,800 years.
Prayer Spots and Sacred Legends✨
Sumiyoshi Taisha is home to the God of the Sea (Sumiyoshi Sanjin), the protector of fishermen and travelers.
🩵Pray for Power at Goshogozen: Look for three stones inscribed with the characters "five (五)," "big (大)," and "power (力)," believed to grant the five blessings (physical strength, wisdom, fortune, happiness, and longevity).
🩵Issun-boshi Legend: This is also the origin of the legend. It's also home to Japan's famous "Little Boy."
🚗 Access
• From Tennoji Station: Take the Hankai Line directly to Sumiyoshitorii-mae Station.
• From Namba Station: Take the Nankai Main Line to Sumiyoshi Taisha Station.
⏰ Open 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Free admission.
