🌟 5 popular spots to see Mount Fuji in full 🗻

We had hoped that by the time we reached Oshino Hakkai, Mt. Fuji might finally peek out from behind the clouds. But no — Fuji remained elusive, hidden beneath layers of mist and low skies.
It was a little disappointing, sure — especially knowing how stunning the view from here can be on a clear day. But somehow, it also made the village feel even more intimate. Like nature was asking us to slow down, notice the smaller things: the way the water ripples in the springs, the sounds of footsteps on gravel, the quiet steam rising from grilled mochi.
Even without the mountain towering above us, Fuji’s presence was still felt — in the water, in the air, in the reverence with which locals spoke of it. Like a sleeping giant just beyond the veil.
Maybe we’ll see her tomorrow. Maybe not. But in this moment, the stillness was enough.
Tips (when Fuji’s hiding):
1. Focus on the details — water reflections, local flavors, small moments.
2. Check Fuji visibility via webcams (many local sites provide live views).
3. Fuji often appears in the early morning or late afternoon — plan around those windows.
4. Don’t be afraid to revisit a spot — weather shifts fast in the Fuji Five Lakes area.
