If it's your first time in Thailand, experiencing the country's Buddhist culture is a must! ποΈ
Mahayana Buddhism focuses on saving all beings, while Theravada Buddhism emphasizes self-enlightenment before helping others. π±
Chalong Temple is one of the most popular temples in Phuket, and it's a great place to immerse yourself in the local spiritual traditions. You can even make wishes or get fortune-telling during your visit. π΄β¨
You'll notice many visitors dressed in traditional Thai attire, and there are stores nearby where you can rent these outfits for some amazing photos. πΈ
A Quick Reminder:
Dress code: Women should avoid wearing very short skirts. If you forget, donβt worry β there are shops around the temple where you can rent long skirts. π
Shoes off: As with most temples, you'll need to take off your shoes before entering. π₯Ώ
It's a peaceful, spiritual place, perfect for reflection or just admiring the architecture! ππΈ
