Traveling to Hokkaido in winter is a wonderful experience, especially during December to February, when the snow season is beautiful. There are many snow activities, festivals, and delicious food! Here is a recommended 6-day, 5-night Hokkaido winter travel plan:

Day 1: Arrive in Sapporo
Travel from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo City
Check in hotel
Visit Sapporo TV Tower, Odori Park (if in February, there will be Sapporo Snow Festival)
Walk for shopping at Tanukikoji Shopping Street
Recommended food: Sapporo ramen (e.g. Ramen Alley)
Day 2: Otaru – A romantic seaside city
Take the train from Sapporo to Otaru (about 1 hour)
Visit Otaru Canal – very beautiful in the snow
Walk along Sakaimachi Street, try LeTAO sweets, cheesecake
Visit Music Box Museum, Glass Art Shops
If time permits: Play in the snow at Asari Ski Resort
Day 3: Play in the snow at Kiroro Resort or Sapporo
Travel to Kiroro (or choose Sapporo Teine / Moiwa Ski Resort if you don't want to leave the city)
Skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling #Hokkaido
