Built: 1395, by King Taejo, founder of the Joseon Dynasty
Location: Northern Seoul, near Gwanghwamun Square
Main Royal Palace First and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Burned & Rebuilt Destroyed during the Japanese invasions (1592), rebuilt in 1867
