This time, I brought my kid to Shanghai Disney, and the most important stop was staying at the dream family hotel—the Toy Story Hotel in Shanghai Disney Resort! This hotel, inspired by Fantasia, is truly a paradise for Disney fans💫
🏰 Check-in Experience
The whole family was amazed as soon as we entered the lobby. The cloud-shaped lights floating on the ceiling instantly transported us into the magical world of Disney. The front desk staff wore Mickey gloves while checking us in, and even the room key cards were custom Woody and Buzz Lightyear designs!
🚌 Super Convenient Transportation
The location is right next to the Disney park, with a dedicated shuttle bus every 10 minutes, just 5 minutes to the park entrance. You can sleep in an extra half hour in the morning before heading out, and after watching the fireworks at night, no need to squeeze into the subway—so family-friendly for those with kids~
🎪 Room Details
Our family room was full of hidden Easter eggs: pressing a button on the headboard lit up little stars, the bathroom mat was shaped like Mickey, and even the towels were folded into Disney character shapes. The kids were excitedly searching for hidden Mickeys as soon as they walked in!
🍽️ Foodie Heaven
Breakfast was at Sunshine Seasons, with Mickey-shaped waffles and Donald Duck donuts so cute you almost don’t want to eat them. There was also a character interaction breakfast where Woody and Jessie took turns greeting and taking photos with each table~
📸 Must-Take Photos
1. The "Fantasia" statue group in the hotel garden, super dreamy when the lights come on at dusk
2. The swimming pool wall features a Finding Nemo theme, perfect for underwater photos with great vibes
3. The piano stairs in the lobby play the tune of "It's a Small World" when stepped on
💡 Useful Tips:
1. Remember to buy next-day park tickets at the hotel to enjoy early entry one hour before the public
2. Room service can heat up children’s food, but you need to call in advance to book
3. There’s a bedtime story session in the lobby at 8 PM, with staff dressed in cartoon pajamas telling stories
🍭 Nearby Activities:
• Disneytown is a 10-minute walk away, with many free photo spots
• The rainbow walkway in Wishing Star Park is perfect for photos
• The hotel garden hosts small meet-and-greet sessions with Disney friends every afternoon
This hotel really understands the needs of families with kids. From check-in to check-out, it’s filled with Disney magic. My baby kept talking about wanting to come back after we got home. I recommend parents with a sufficient budget to go straight for the resort hotels; the off-season offers better value!
