📍Located at Guishan Park near Dukezong Ancient Town, the giant prayer wheel in Shangrila, Yunnan is an important Tibetan Buddhist landmark.
It is 2nd largest prayer wheels in the world, standing about 21 meters tall and gilded in golden color. Weighing an incredible 60,000 kilograms, the wheel is so massive that it usually takes at least six to eight people working together to spin it clockwise🔁
The wheel is engraved with sacred scriptures and intricate patterns of deities, flowers, and symbols. Visitors can join locals in pushing the wheel clockwise, which is believed to accumulate merit, bring blessings, and purify negative karma🔥
