A Fusion of East and West: The Chinese Burger with Tengjiao Chicken Steak and Typhoon Shelter Crab Sticks

Burgers, originally a Western creation, have found a unique twist in China, blending Eastern and Western flavors into a delightful culinary romance! Introducing Tustin, often referred to as the "Chinese Burger."

I first tried it in Shandong, and this time, I revisited it, amazed at how Chinese cuisine can harmonize with Western staples to create a whole new taste. The so-called "burger" here uses a crispy pancake-like wrap instead of a traditional bun, filled with various vegetables and the signature meat of the specific burger style.

This time, I tried their new "Typhoon Shelter Crab Stick with Tengjiao Chicken Steak Chinese Burger." The crab sticks were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the Tengjiao chicken steak had a hint of peppery spiciness on its crust. The entire meal, including fries, fried chicken, and a soda, cost only 26 RMB. The best part? They even provide gloves—a pair of them!

If Tustin ever opens in Hong Kong, Colonel Sanders might have a headache 😂

💰 Average cost per person: 26 RMB
📍 Address: Ground floor of Dameisha Seaview Hotel
