Speaking of Shenzhen, many people will come down to find delicious food. It really tells you that it is great value for money and has many choices! I've been to several popular restaurants recently, and I've found my favorite recommendations, whether it's authentic snacks or exquisite dishes.

Coconut Chicken Hot Pot — Coconut Chicken · Hai Kee

Environment: Simple modern design, large glass windows natural lighting, the whole atmosphere is comfortable and leisurely, a group of friends or family gathering is suitable

Food highlights: Fresh chicken is boiled in coconut water, the soup is sweet and not greasy at all, the chicken is smooth and sweet, with homemade dipping sauce for more layers. There is also coconut ice cream, which is sweet and not greasy. I feel happy after having a cup of hot pot!

Environment: Retro Chinese style decoration, clean and spacious, suitable for friends to eat and drink

Food highlights: The beef is cut to order and can be eaten soon after entering the pot. It is smooth and sweet, and there are also chopped peanuts and spring onions in the buffet area. The beef gluten balls are elastic and juicy. I fell in love with them once I ate them!

Cantonese Dim Sum—Lee Yuen Restaurant

Food highlights: The char siu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a bit of caramel aroma; the cha siu is smooth and the shrimp is super refreshing; the floating buns are overflowing with savory flavour, each of which is authentic Lao Cantonese flavour.
Tip: Tea market is busiest at noon, go early or choose off-peak hours will be more comfortable.

Local hot stir-fry—Wanxiang Food City
Address: 3013 Huaqiang North Road, Futian District
Signature dishes: pork belly with pickled vegetables, fried crab in typhoon shelter, pepper and salt squid
Environment: Lively and friendly, like the feel of a Hong Kong stall, perfect for gatherings in groups
Business Hours: 12:00 - 00:00
Price: ¥50-¥100 per person
Food highlights: Each dish is fast and delicious, enough pan and heavy flavor, perfect for friends who want to eat addictive but do not want to be extravagant, fried crab crispy outside and tender inside, pepper and salt squid bouncy, every time I go to encore!
Tip: Wait during peak hours, avoid weekend evenings will be more relaxing.

Overall, I really think Shenzhen is cheap and diverse. Not only are there many choices of restaurants, but the taste quality is really surprising, perfect for taking pictures and satisfying taste buds. No wonder more and more people go to Shenzhen for food on weekends!
