Celebrating my boyfriend's birthday.

I'd been to Palace Banquet in Shanghai before and had a great experience, so I wanted to take him there. 😝

Booked VIP and birthday VIP dinners,

and added makeup and costume changes.

This place doesn't offer photography services. 🙈

We arrived at 4:30 PM, and there were already many people looking to change.

The dressing and makeup areas were incredibly hot. 🥲
There seemed to be only one air conditioner for the entire platform. 🥲 I was sweating just standing there.

The makeup area was better, with a large fan. 🥹
But you really can't have just one.

The men were getting mad while waiting for the girls to change and put on their makeup. 🤣
Luckily, I told my boyfriend to go sit in the banquet hall first. 😝

There weren't many choices for clothing.

Most of the clothes were red. The service was okay, if a bit rushed. 🥲
Palace Banquet always invites us to the banquet hall to wait for makeup, and only calls our number cards when it's our turn.
Here, we had to wait outside the dressing room in the heat,
not in the banquet hall. 🥺

The food wasn't as bad as the online reviews say; it was pretty good. 🙈
But compared to "Palace Banquet Shanghai," Palace Banquet is better. 🙈
The performance wasn't as good as Palace Banquet. The plot was confusing and incomprehensible. 🙈
There was just one beautiful woman who danced like a beautiful female lead.

The worst part was: the VIP service wasn't VIP. 🥲 No interaction would be a problem (the online promotion advertised live VCR interaction), but there was absolutely none. 🥲 My boyfriend's birthday VIP seat was constantly ignored. 🥲 For example, he didn't get the candied haws. 🥲 I thought he'd get something special, but he wasn't. 😵💫😵💫 (Watch it on CCTV)
Everyone was served longevity noodles for the birthday boy.
The guy next to me got some, the guys in the upper row got some,
but my boyfriend didn't 😩😩😩
Everyone next to me was chuckling 🥲
Then it was served a while later 🫠 (did they realize they forgot??)
They even insisted on toasting, even though there was no wine in the glasses 😳🤣
Wow, that's terrible.

Is this considered VIP seating?

And once the place got full, the air conditioning went out.
It's so hot! 🥲
I asked the waitress, and she said it's central air conditioning and can't be adjusted. 😩
I saw some guests taking off their clothes. 🥲
Everyone was fanning themselves. 💢💢💢💢💢

No tea, only water. 🫠
Don't tell me the teapot is tea. 🥲 It tastes like water!!

Juice wine??
I only had it poured twice, and it was just sweet, without much flavor.

Although the yellow croaker has a lot of bones, it tastes great.
The morels, drunken shrimp, preserved meat fried rice, and condensed snow dew were all delicious 👍🏻

During the interactive ball tossing session,
the drums stopped in non-VIP areas = no interaction 🥲

Anyway, I don't know what special VIP benefits are 🥲

Something was included, but a bottle of red wine and longevity noodles were given.

The food was okay, but the overall experience was poor.

The service wasn't as good as at a palace banquet.

The "palace maids" didn't look like they were happy to be there.

They all had sullen faces 🤣
The drinks we ordered took 20 minutes to arrive.

It was hot and stuffy, and they came with "hot water."

This is a one-time thing, I won't be able to have a banquet again 🫠
